Alyssa’s Story
Alyssa was born in Michigan and grew up in Danville, California. She went to school in Reno, Nevada after which she became an ICU nurse. She now works in medical device sales and lives in North County, San Diego. She is an avid enthusiast of all things related to the outdoors including snowboarding, hiking, camping, and backpacking. Alyssas holds a strong interest in all things health and wellness related. Although she’s not much a beach lover, she felt led by God to move to San Diego to find her future husband.
David’s Story
David was born in Northern Virginia and spent the first half of his life growing up on the East Coast. He has spent the majority of his 20’s and 30’s in Southern California as well as Colorado. He now lives in North County San Diego where he works in the music industry. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys snowmobiling, hunting, hiking, and photography. After living alone in the mountains of Colorado from 2020-2023 David realized it was time to move back to Encinitas to find a wife to share his life with.
Our Relationship
As fate would have it, we met in April of 2024 through a dating app called Hinge. Our first date was at a restaurant called Ironside in Little Italy, San Diego. We quickly connected on many levels including our values, faith, interests, and a shared vision for our future. As they began their dating relationship, David happily became Alyssa’s official tour guide, sharing all of the best San Diego has to offer, she was a true local in no time. We’ve shared a memorable year of adventures together in beautiful places such as, Northern Italy, Colorado, Montana, and Joshua Tree. We share a mutual love for the mountains and the outdoors. We love our home, Cardiff-by-the Sea, where we enjoy frequent sunsets, beach walks, and exploring our quaint little coastal town.
Family Arrival
September 29th
Rehearsal Dinner
6:00PM
A rehearsal dinner will be held for the family of the bride and groom in the reception area at The Hideout. Attire will be casual.
The Wedding
September 30th
Ceremony
3:00 PM
The ceremony will be held outdoors and begin promptly at 3:00PM. Upon arrival, look for signage that will lead you from parking area to the ceremony. We kindly ask that you refrain from using smart phones, cameras, and devices of any kind during the ceremony.
Cocktail Hour
3:30 PM
We will be hosting a cocktail hour following the ceremony at The Saloon featuring live music and signature drinks.
Dinner & Reception
5:00 PM
Dinner and reception will be held in the barn where we will make toasts, drink and be merry, and dance to music by our awesome DJ.
Camp Recovery Party
October 1st
We’d like to invite all of our guests to join us for a Western themed recovery day at The Hideout the day after our wedding. We’ll be enjoying the property, floating the lake, and soaking in the 30 person hot tub. Be sure to bring a swimsuit, towel, and any other athletic or outdoor attire you may require.
